About Spotifast

The official Spotify app has a reputation for hogging memory. Spotifast is a small native client written in Rust (it used to be called Fastpotify) that plays music locally and can also control Spotify Connect devices.

You get a Winamp-style mini player, a MilkDrop visualizer, themes and full keyboard control. Playback needs Spotify Premium, so this is a lighter front end, not a free ride. MIT licensed. Windows installers come as .exe or .msi, and there are macOS and Linux builds too.
